The goal of the game is to get the highest scoring hand you can by obtaining three cards of the same rank (such as 8s or Jacks) or the same suit (such as hearts or spades). The value of your hand is determined by adding up the total of your cards in any one suit. Regular cards are worth their number, face cards are worth 10, and Aces are worth 11. However, only the points in one suit count towards your hand value. It is also possible to make a hand of three cards with the same rank, like 8-8-8 or J-J-J, which is always worth 30.5 points regardless of the number on the card. To change cards, swap a card from your hand with a card from the extra hand in the center of the board. If you believe you have a strong hand, you can choose to pass. This means that every other player gets one more turn, and then all players reveal their hands. You can also swap all three cards in your hand with the three cards on the table, but this also counts as a pass. The player with the lowest score loses a life and the next round begins.
